Description

The Kepha Institute Registrar is responsible for the oversight and integrity of academic records and registration for Kepha Institute programs. This person works under the supervision of the Dean of the Kepha Institute and collaborates closely with the CIU Registrar to implement academic polices and to maintain accreditation requirements for the University. This is a local (on-site) position.

Responsibilities

Regular Duties

  • Guard CIU’s academic integrity by ensuring accuracy, consistency, security and retention of Kepha Institute faculty academic credentials, student and curricular records, and data systems and documentation.
  • Provide consistent, effective, timely, courteous service to Kepha Institute students, faculty, staff, alumni and external agencies (accreditation, state, federal and professional)
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of Kepha Institute academic policies through participation on the Kepha Institute Dean’s Cabinet.
  • Ensure both consistent and reasonable communication, interpretation and implementation of academic policies and procedures while maintaining the appropriate documentation of approval of exceptions.
  • Administer the institutional policy concerning confidentiality of student records.
  • Monitor, evaluate and participate in the development, implementation or modification of computerized or manual systems in order to improve operational efficiency and timely service to client populations.
  • Participate in quarterly audits of Kepha Institute academic records and procedures under the direction of the CIU Registrar.

Periodic Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate all elements of the registration process for each academic term and plan, coordinate and communicate class schedules and instructional facility allocation.
  • Cooperate with other appropriate administrators and academic units in the implementation of the institutional calendar for Kepha Institute Programs.
  • Plan, in conjunction with stakeholders, all details of Kepha Institute Commencement ceremonies.
  • Evaluate departmental effectiveness systematically and introduce improvements to address deficiencies.
  • Coordinate Kepha Institute catalog pages according to the CIU production schedule.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of student database system.
  • Understanding of curriculum design models.
  • Ability to use computer word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Familiarity with general accreditation practices.
  • Organized and attentive to detail.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English (fluent in oral and written communications).
  • Master’s degree required.
